Cub Scout Section

How do I join?

Cub Scouts are boys and girls between the ages of 8 yrs old to 10.5 yrs old; the Cub Scouts are the second section of the Scout Movement.

There are loads of fun things that you can do as a Cub Scout. You will get a chance to try lots of different activities such as swimming, music, exploring, computing and collecting.

Cubs also get to go on trips and days out, to places like the zoo, theme parks or a farm. Sometimes you will be able to go camping with the rest of your Pack. This will mean you sleeping in a tent or Pack Holiday Centre and taking part in many outdoor activities. The information below will give you some idea of the activities that happen whilst you are in the Cub Section.

Cub Scout Membership Badge - will be awarded at the Investiture ceremony after four to six weeks in the Cub Pack

Challenge Badges -The Challenges complement the balanced programme. These have been developed to extend Cub Scouts' skills and experience. The Challenges are optional and continue throughout the Sections providing continuity from 6 to 25.

  • The Outdoor Challenge
  • The Creative Challenge
  • The Fitness Challenge
